MemorialDay

Unidentified wooden wreck first dived by the Surface Interval crew on an exploration day on Memorial Day 2004.The first charter was taken there July 5, 2004. It will be exciting to see what else is uncoverd as we continue to dive her. There are lots of large flounder in the sandy areas between the ribs. The bottom is a fine silt and buoyancy control is imperative so as to maintain visibility for other divers. There is a pony boiler out in the sand and some of the ribs are at a somewhat odd angle to each other.Depth: 110 ft.We have found that some divers out of New Jersey have dived this wreck as well and have called it “wood wreck at steel”i.e. unknown wooden wreck near the steel wreck (Poseidon).
